Washington DC media women anchors and reporters assembled at Ritz-Carlton Georgetown for 2nd Annual NewsBabes Bash for Breast Cancer. Local favorite, WUSA9 Angie Goff, managed the team from WUSA9, Fox 5, ABC7, WTOP and other media to bring action to Susan G. Komen's fight against breast cancer. Notable in attendance was Ambassador Nancy Brinker and First Lady of DC, Michelle Fenty. Pink was the theme and survivors were on the scene.
Over 500 guests raced through the Ritz-Carlton to meet the DC Newsbabes, greet breast cancer survivors, sip cocktails and walk away with some fun swag bags. Fezelry Jewelry by Christine Haynes was provided as gifts to Nancy Brinker and Michelle Fenty. Tommy McFly of Mix 107.3 FM broadcast live and had fans behind the lens for photos. DJ Flounder from Hot 99.5 took time out to spin a few tunes that had guests grooving...in the Ritz! An phenomenal turnout for the 2nd annual event.
